Author of Intentional Hope Blog
My name is Curtshandra Duplechain. I am a wife, stay at home mom, Christian, virtual teacher, and mentor. I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a B.S in Family and Consumer Sciences (Family Studies), May of 2015. I enjoy reading, playing volleyball, spending time with my family, listening to jazz music, poetry, speaking, teaching, traveling, and meeting new people. I am really passionate about helping people grow and become the best version of themselves.
I started Intentional Hope in June of 2018. It was inspired by a difficult season of my life in between graduating college and having my first child. In the midst of all that I felt purposeless and needed a change in my life so I decided to start reading books and from that moment my life changed.
The more I would read, I was challenged to grow mentally, spiritually, emotionally and even physically becoming the best version of myself. Throughout the different books I came across a quote that changed my life, “Growth is the only guarantee that tomorrow will be better.”
It was then that I made the connection between how hope and your personal growth are greatly connect to your life and your potential to live and fulfill your dreams. That was the birth of Intentional Hope. I made it my duty to share all the knowledge that I am learning so that others might be encouraged to never stop growing no matter what season of life you are in.
