“Just because the past didn’t turn out like you wanted it to, doesn’t mean the future can’t be better than you ever imagined.“

Have you ever looked forward to an exciting experience or event? Maybe a trip to Disney, A trip to the beach, a concert, football game, wedding, etc. Sometimes looking ahead can help you find comfort and excitement in your current season because, it creates a hope and expectation that things won’t always look the same. Just think of how much you may really need that extra comfort and excitement in this current season.

What are you looking forward to in the future? What are some things you are doing today to help you prepare for what you are looking forward to?  Taking time to prepare today can better position you for what the future holds.

“Better things are coming.”

Who would have ever thought that the year 2020 would be so different than the years past. I personally believed that 2020 would be one of the best years yet for me, although everything looks different I still believe that it will be. Most of the time things never really happen the way I expect them to anyway, but this has really tipped the ice burg for me. I’ve been more productive than I’ve been in a long time. I find myself working on long overdue projects, spending more time educating my kids, growing closer with my husband and friends and even going deeper spiritually in my relationship with God.

Although this season looks so different I feel like it’s igniting a fresh passion in me to go after my dreams and really work on becoming a better and healthier version of myself. I’m looking forward to the future and stepping out starting my business, going back to school and taking a long much needed vacation to the beach and more. This current season has been a season of preparation for me. I’m diving back into reading my personal growth books, listening to podcast and developing my creative skills.

The past may not have looked like I wanted it to and even the present looks a little different, but the future can be better than ever if I  prepare today.

I just want to encourage you to take time to rest, prepare and do things that help you get refreshed. Although this season looks so different there is so much opportunity to help make the future brighter than ever before. I know it’s sometimes hard and some days you may wish this was all over, but whatever you do, don’t give up. Take things one step at a time and one day at a time.

Thanks for reading!
