“Strength grows in the moments when you think you can’t go on but you keep going anyway.”
There nothing like being at a place in your life where you feel like you want to give up. We all experience though places in our journey that force us to question everything. We sit back and think to ourselves, “ Am I really making the right decision?” “Where did I go wrong?” Or “How did I get to this place?”
But sometimes it’s only for a moment or even a season but in reality it feels like a life time. It’s easy to allow the bigness of our challenge to zap out all the strength that we have. But where do we find strength to keep going when we feel overwhelmed with life’s challenges? How do we keep pushing even when we feel like quitting?
1. Prayer and meditation
Prayer and meditation is powerful and has the ability to improve our spiritual, mental and emotional health. It allows our spirit to get refreshed as we allow God’s presence and word to refresh and revive us. Prayer is not something that you have to do once a day. You can pray throughout your day, because prayer is simply communicating with God.
2. Focus on the good
”What we focus on grows.” It’s so easy to focus on the negative things that are taking place in our lives that we often overlook the good. When we focus on the good it gives us greater hope for the future and the possibilities that it brings. “ As we focus on the good, the good gets better.”
Who’s in your corner? The people who you surround yourself with matters more than you know. Surround yourself with people who believe in you and love you enough to be honest and help you when needed. Accountability is important in helping you stay on the right track and encouraged through your process. Having continual support throughout your journey is powerful because we will experience things that we may not understand and having someone with a different perspective can help bring greater insight in the moment.
I just want to encourage you to keep going even when things are hard. Set the tone for each day with prayer and meditation, focus on the good things that are taking place in your life and be accountable to the right people that will help you continue on the right path.
