“Going through things you never thought you’d go through will only take you places you never thought you’d get to.”

Have you ever experienced a situation  in life that made you question everything? In the moment you didn’t understand why it was happening, but now as you look back you understood why it had to happen.

We often experience situations in life that challenges us grow because where we are going is far greater than where we are. What would happen if we really embraced those moments and took the time to Intentionally grow through them? How much further in life would we be? What if what you are going through is preparing you for what you’ve been expecting?

Sometimes we have to take a step back and think about all the things we went through and reflect on how those experiences have shaped us into who we are today. When we understand how each experience shaped our lives we can learn to embrace each new day and the potential it gives us to change our future.

How to embrace and prepare for the new:

1. Take time to reflect

Reflection give us the opportunity to understand where we are and discover where we want to be. It gives us the chance to plan things out.

2. Take one small step each day

Everyday is a new opportunity to get closer to our goal. When we focus on everything it’s easy to get overwhelmed and discouraged but if we focus on one step at a time we are more likely to follow through.

3. Give yourself room to grow

When it comes to making changes and starting fresh mistakes will happen. Sometimes we have to remember that we are human and we all make mistakes, which is apart of the process. “Mistakes are proof that you are trying.”

As we prepare and embrace this new year, understand that everything that you went through in this current year is preparing you for what’s ahead. Be intentional with each day understanding the impact that it’s making on your future. The future is as bright as you make it.
