We must always change, renew, and rejuvenate ourselves; otherwise, we harden.” —Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Life can easily take you off course if you don’t take time to reset, refocus and reconnect to your why often. Even if you are intentional you will experience roadblocks, setbacks and detours, but the important thing to remember in the mist of it all is the importance of taking time to come up with a game plan to help you when life does happen.
That game plan can be something as simple as writing down what you want your everyday schedule to look like, and giving yourself room to work around things when life doesn’t go as planned. Sometimes you will face hard things, but just because something is hard doesn’t mean it’s impossible to overcome.
When you find yourself getting off course don’t be discouraged because what you are facing is all apart of the journey and process. This is why finding time to reset, refocus and reconnect is important.
Why should you reset, refocus and reconnect often?
1. It will give you a clear picture of what you need
When you take a set back it will allow you to see exactly where you are. In doing this you will be able to determine the changes to make in order to help you stay the course.
2. It will give you insight on how to continue
When you are able to get a fresh perspective of where you are, you will be able to continue and apply the changes that are needed .
3. It will help you measure how far you’ve come
When you know and understand how far you have traveled in your journey it’s gives you hope that the future will be better. Progress is encouraging and you experience it in your life it will motivate you to continue on your journey.
Take every opportunity you can to reset, refocus and reconnect to your purpose. This helps to make your everyday life more meaningful and it’s a way to encourage yourself through the everyday process of life. Don’t allow a small set back or experience to get you off course take time to reconnect it is well worth the investment of your time.
This year I’ve experienced some highs and lows in the progress of going after my goals, I’ve gotten off track plenty of times but I’m always taking time to reset, refocus and reconnect. If I continue this process I increase the possibility of reaching my goals by the end of the year.
I hope this encourages you today. Thanks for reading!
