“Don’t downgrade your dreams to match your reality. Upgrade your belief to match your vision.”

Do you remember growing up dreaming and visualizing what the future would look like? You weren’t afraid to dream and believe big for your life because you knew what was possible. You had the belief needed to back up the vision you created in your mind. What if you had that same belief to back up the vision you have now? What would happen if you no longer allowed your current reality to stop you from pushing towards your dreams? How much further could you go if you no longer held back, but stepped forward with the belief that you can live the life of your dreams? Why not go for it?

Life tends to change your perspective as you go through different experiences. Sometimes you go through things that cause you to no longer believe like you use to. You experience failures, set back and disappointments that cause you to doubt that what you want is possible. You have to remember that, “Just because something hasn’t happened yet, doesn’t mean it won’t.” It’s so important to have a vision for your life and hold tight to that vision. Having a vision is what will keep you focused and moving forward through life. You never know what the next day or month will bring. If you keep taking steps forward and working towards the vision everyday you will see it happen.

In January of this year I created a vision and set some goals for what I wanted to see happen. I truly believed that this would be a great year for me and that this would be a break out year. I called this my,” Breakout year,” because I wanted to challenge myself to grow and step out of my comfort zone by doing the things I have always wanted to do. This year would be a year of transformation and major change and that is exactly what it has been. I set goals of traveling the world, becoming the best and healthiest version of myself, being consistent with self care and stepping out in my blogging business. I believed in my vision so much and I made a commitment to work towards it everyday and now that the end of the year approaches I see so much of the fruit of what I have been working so hard for.

This has been the most life changing year of my life. I am determined to create the life that I dream of. This doesn’t mean that life has been perfect or easy, but I have been able to see many of the things I desire because I have been intentional in working towards those things everyday. I hope that my story would give others hope to truly believe and be intentional in working towards their vision. I have learned through being intentional that the life I desire to create is possible, I just have to consistently show up and work towards it. Consistentcy matters when it comes to being able to see your vision come to past. You have to be consistent in the actions and habits that will help you reach the goals you desire to see. Creating a routine that will allow you to work towards your goals everyday will change your life.

These are some things I have learned this year about believing in your vision:

1.) If you don’t believe in your vision no one else will

When you truly believe in something your actions will show it. You have to have confidence in your vision and truly believe that you can achieve it. It’s hard to convince other people of something that you don’t believe in. The real proof will be in your actions.

2.) You have to put in the work to see if happen

You have to put in the work in order to accomplish the vision. The vision is like the destinatation on a map but in order to reach the destination you have to make a plan and drive to get yourself there.

3.) Use your actions to help shape your belief in your vision

If you want to change what you believe start by changing your actions. For example, If I say I want to lose weight, in order to encourage my belief in myself to lose weight I have to start by changing my actions. I exercise, eat, healthy, drink water, etc. The actions help to encourage my belief that I can achieve losing weight. Whatever you do on a consistent bases is proof of what you believe.

I just want to encourage you to believe and keep working towards the vision you have for your life. Great thing don’t happen overnight but they do happen overtime if you keep working and believing. Don’t ever give up on the things you desire for your life. Dream big and go after those things. God has placed those desires in your heart for a purpose. Don’t lose hope. You never know what the next day will bring. Thanks for reading! If this encouraged you comment below, I would love to hear about it.
