“I am learning everyday to allow the space to where I am and where I want to be, inspire me not terrify me.”- Tracee Ellis Ross

Growth looks different in every season. Sometimes taking a step back to reflect on how far you’ve come can give you hope for the future and inspire you in the journey of who you are becoming. Take time to think about the progress you’ve made already this year. Where are you in the process of obtaining your goals?

In the journey of reaching your goals you will face many set backs and road blocks, but don’t allow that to keep you from moving forward give yourself room to grow and get better. There will be times where things are difficult and you will have to keep starting over, but as long as you don’t quit there is hope for you to reach your goal.

Take time to think about where you are currently and where you want to be. Today is a new day an the opportunity for a fresh start. Don’t allow a small set back to make you feel like you’ve failed. This month for me has been such a crazy month, in January I did so great with staying on track to reach my goals. February was a huge challenged with many of the family emergencies I’ve faced but I realize that every day is another opportunity for me to start again. Sometimes when life happens you must  learn to take a step back, reflect and start again.

The journey to reaching your goals will not be easy and sometimes you may have to fight a little harder, but just beach something is hard doesn’t mean it’s impossible to conquer.

These are some tips that have been helping me to get back on track with my goals:

1. Take time everyday to reflect, readjust and refocus

Taking the time to reflect on your day and make the changes that needed can help you gain a greater level of focus as you are getting back on track. If you recognize where you are and discover the things that will help you get to where you need to be, you will be able to determine the little steps that you can take everyday to keep you on track.

2. Write down your goals everyday

Im reading the book Imagine Big by. Terri Foy and it talked about the importance of writing your goals down everyday. Because most people forget most of the goals they wrote down for the new year by the end of January. When you keep your goals in front of you and write them down they help to keep you focused.

3. Take things one step at a time

Don’t try to fix everything at one time. Focus on getting back on track with one goal at a time. Give yourself permission to make mistakes and fix them. Sometimes getting back on track takes time and it doesn’t make you a failure it makes you human.

I just want to encourage you to give yourself room to grow and try again. The journey to obtaining your goals will not be easy. You have to continue to fight for what you desire to see. There is so much greatness ahead you just have to fight through the roadblock you face. Don’t give up. This year could be one of the greatest years yet if you take time to readjust and start again.
